The Conquest Riding Centre in Norton Fitzwarren welcomed Rebecca Pow, Prospective MP for Taunton, to see the valuable work they do for people with disabilities and the wider community. As well as special sessions for autistic children, the centre provides work for young offenders on the Community Payback Scheme run by Avon and Somerset Probation Service. Manager, Jess Dixon, is also extending facilities which will include a new play park for child minders to bring children in their care to enjoy the horses and the countryside setting.
Rebecca Pow said: ‘The Conquest Riding Centre is a hub for a whole range of people and is a life line for many, giving them a focus and routine never before experienced as they join in clearing yards, mucking out and riding and caring for the horses. They do absolutely fantastic work and I have really enjoyed visiting the Centre today!’
