This year, Taunton Deane MP Rebecca Pow held a Christmas card competition and invited the people of Taunton Deane to take part.

Ten year-old Georgie Malcolm, who is in Year 6 at Parkfield Primary School, came top in the competition with her design.

Georgia’s design, which features a collection of expertly painted reindeer, will now appear on the front of Rebecca’s official card, which she will be sending out to local businesses and community groups.

Rebecca has visited the winner at her school to present her with her prize, a House of Commons piggy bank! She also presented certificates to everybody who took part.

Congratulating all of the people who took part, Rebecca Pow said:

“This is the first year that I have asked local people to design my Christmas card and I am so impressed with the quality and variety of entries. Well done to Georgia, as well as to everybody who sent in such fantastic entries. I was very pleased to see the artistic talent that we have in Taunton Deane.’
