Rebecca recently attended the Great British High Street awards along with representatives from Bath Place who were awarded the runner-up position in the local centre category.
Whilst many believe that the Great British High Street is in decline the resilience and community sprit shown by the traders and visitors to Bath Place demonstrates this is not the case. High Streets up and down the country have an important role to play in modern society and Rebecca hopes that Bath Place can act as a model for many other towns up and down the country.

‘Bath Place has done an absolutely fantastic job over many months and I am delighted that all their hard work has been recognised at the highest level. Innovative initiatives and quirky events, such as the colourful and charming ‘yarn bombing’, have driven down the number vacant units and significantly increased footfall. I would like to congratulate and praise both the Bath Place Traders Association and all those involved with rejuvenating this area, it is a magnificent achievement to come runners up in this category beating over 230 other entrants. A great place for Christmas Shopping!’
