Rebecca Pow, MP for Taunton Deane recently visited Fiennes House in Wellington, a residential home owned by national sight loss charity, Seeability.
Fiennes House is a purpose-built residential home in Wellington that was erected in 2000. It is for adults with sight loss and learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and behavior that may be challenging.
They employ 53 members of staff at Fiennes house and have around 15 volunteers to help with day to day activities for the residents, which include reading, cooking and fundraising.
During her visit, Rebecca met with the families of residents to hear first-hand the invaluable care Seeability provide.
Rebecca said, ‘I was most impressed with this wonderful facility in the heart of Wellington and it was a pleasure to meet the staff and residents.’
