‘Heat Hero’ Louise Evans from Lydeard St Lawrence this week met with her local MP, Rebecca Pow. Ms Evans received an award from National Energy Action for her work in visiting our local schools to advise children on how to save energy. School she has visited include Rockwell Green Primary School, Lydeard St Lawrence Community Primary School and Milverton Community Primary School. Ms Evans has also been advising home owners on how they can apply for warm homes discount.
Rebecca Pow MP met with Louise in London to receive her certificate. She said, ‘Louise has been doing some excellent work advising young people of the importance of conserving energy. Not only does this save money for households, but the less energy we consume, the less we will have to create and therefore less pollution will be made. This therefore, has a direct effect on climate change.’
