Taunton Deane MP, Rebecca Pow has welcomed news that crime has fallen by over a quarter (32 per cent) since 2010, to its lowest ever level, according to the independent Crime Survey for England and Wales.
Commenting, Rebecca said:
‘These figures show the strength of this Government’s record in bringing crime down to its lowest ever level.
‘We have to continue to build on this success by electing a PCC that will work with the Government to deliver more visible policing and better use of police resources.
‘In Avon & Somerset, crime recorded by the police has fallen by 12%. This is good news for Taunton Deane making our community a safer place to live, work and raise a family.’
