Taunton Deane MP Backs Bristol Airport

This week Rebecca Pow MP wrote to the Chancellor urging him to scrap plans to devolve Air Passenger Duty (APD) to Wales which would allow Cardiff Airport to run cheaper flights, undercutting Bristol Airport.

Since my election I have made a concerted effort to stand up for nature in Westminster, all too often this issue can be overlooked in favour of what might be considered as bigger policy questions of the day. Ensuring a sustainable natural world is an essential part of enabling a healthy life for us all. In this respect it is important that people who break the law and endanger our wildlife are investigated and prosecuted. The National Wildlife Crime Unit (NWCU) is a vital part of this process and I am urging Ministers to protect its funding.

Seed Sown For Wellington Rail Station

 Despite recovering from recent surgery Taunton Deane MP, Rebecca Pow was delighted that her endeavours so far to raise the profile for the idea of a new metro style railway station for Wellington were recognised by the Rail Minister herself and referred to during a debate on the Great Western Rail route in the House of Commons last week.

Taunton Deane MP, Rebecca Pow will be undergoing an operation at Musgrove Park hospital during the week of January 18th  and will be recuperating for the following six weeks.
