The closure was enabled using new anti-social behaviour legislation introduced in October which Rebecca has campaigned for, by working with the local police and action group and also by making representation to the Home Secretary, Theresa May.

The 8th Christmas Tree Festival held at the Taunton United Reformed Church was a magical event. Rebecca Pow was at the Royal Mail sorting office in Taunton early on Wednesday (10th) morning to provide a helping hand to postal workers as they deal with the annual Christmas rush. The service comes under increasing pressure at this time of year and 2014 is no different; according to the Greeting Card Association the market for Christmas cards has risen by nearly 6% and in the run up to this year’s holidays, Royal Mail expects people in the UK to send an average of 17 cards each.
